Anywhere land meets water you can find surf. Part of the fun is exploring and finding it on your own. Sure you could just ask and make it easy, but that wont bring you nearly as much satisfaction as scouting it on your own. Surfing isn't just standing on a board riding a wave- its the hunt, the morning stretch and coffee, the snack you pack in the car, the stoke you share with people along the road....its all surfing. Keep note when you score what the conditions were that day, and even more important, take note of what the conditions were when you didn't. And most important of all, when you are new in a line-up, give respect, get respect.
Peace and waves.

A couple of posts ago (I think it was the Katia one) I asked where you had taken those pictures and I half expected to get the reply that I did. Completely understandable. But the reason I ask is whenever I these pics, especially the ones above, I get so excited to go out and surf waves like that. But being relatively new to the sport, and not having a parent or a friend who surfs, it is very hard to know where and when any swell is going to make waves like that even with all the forecasting websites and surf cams. Also having school all day isn't that helpful either. Yeah I know the typical Narragansett, Matunuck, and The Wall but I really want to learn where to go on which swell. I have tried reading all of the surf prediction articles I could and googling around looking for NE places to surf. I guess you could call me a "wannabe" surfer but it is more like I know how to surf pretty well (been to a couple surf camps most recently in CR for 2 weeks) but am not able to consistently surf mostly because I don't know where to go and when. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Will do after the weekend. Do you want the one of me standing on the cliff tops, arms outstretched screaming at the wind "Is this all you've got? Tell me you have more!!" as I am slowly pushed back by the force of the gusts... or shall I just keep it to pics of the sea? (thinks) OK I'll keep it to just pics of the sea. Where do I send them to anyhow?
